Meet an Industry Member

Mango industry, meet Francisco Ortega from Nayarit, Mexico. He’s been in the mango industry for 6 years and currently works at Los Positos SPR de R.L. which produces and markets mangos. Francisco is a very active member of several mango organizations such as the National Council of mango producers, National Committee of Mango Systems, as well as the subsidiaries of such bodies. He is also a member of the elected La Culebra Nayarit municipality of San Blas, Nayarit, Mexico and the National Committee Sistema Producto Mango, A.C. (CONASPROMANGO, which is an association representing the Mexican mango supply chain.

When Francisco was asked what he loves most about the mango industry he replied, “Working in this industry is very beneficial and it has a positive impact on the economy, social and natural environment."
