2012 Extension Workshops

We are working with mango organizations, researchers from several universities and research institutions to help industry members improve the quality of mangos. We will present research and findings through eight customized Mango Extension Workshops scheduled this year in the top six mango importing countries.

The topics and presenters will differ in each city depending on the needs of each region. Presentations given by our staff and researchers will include:

     •   Selected agricultural practices

     •   Post harvest management practices

     •   Hot water treatment and Hydrocooling

     •   Good agricultural practices (GAP) and good manufacturing practices (GMP)

     •   Mango maturity

     •   Irradiation in mangos

     •   Consumer attitude and mango usage

     •   Nutrition and health benefits of mangos
